Jun Matsumoto
Arashi, Tsukasa Domyoji in Hana Yori Dango, the Taiga drama What Will You Do, Ieyasu? A member of a national group who has stood at the forefront for more than twenty years and, as concert director, has designed the very stage of Arashi. On 31 May 2026, with the final performance at Tokyo Dome, Arashi concluded its activities. Independence, the announcement of the end, the final performance: three milestones, set in the same month of May three years running. Why that month? And from the day after he stood alone, what time has begun? We read his path from debut to the last stage against the phases of destiny and time.

Research Brief
What the case shows
- A destiny holding three of the branches that mark the beginning of a season. Only one is missing.
- The twenty years from age eight fall in a period when his ten-year fortune stands void. His debut and his breakthrough as an actor both lie within these twenty years.
- His debut day carried the same stem-branch as the first decade of those twenty void years.
- For forty years from 2011, when the void lifted, the elements that sustain his life come round decade after decade without a break. Elements absent from his destiny appear one by one from the side of time.
- Independence, the announcement of the end, the final performance. Three years running, the three milestones were set in the month in which the one element missing from his destiny enters.
- From the day after the final performance, years begin in which the sustaining elements overlap. That is also the start of two years in which his yearly fortune stands void.
- The gift of designing a stage and the gift of calculated performance: both are engraved in his destiny.
