Leonardo da Vinci
Born out of wedlock and excluded from his father’s estate, he opened his way by serving a lord. For seventeen years in Milan he served the duke and completed The Last Supper. In October 1499 French troops entered Milan, and that protection ended. That day, the ten-year, one-year and one-day currents were all obstructing elements. Why did his greatest masterpiece and his greatest loss arrive inside the same obstructed phase? Sixty-seven years, set against the phases of destiny and time.

Research Brief
What the case shows
- In his first decade, the element that pushes his destiny forward arrives. In this period the boy born out of wedlock entered a Florentine workshop and laid his foundation as a painter.
- At thirty he moved to Milan to serve the duke — a destiny whose strength grows with someone to serve. The Last Supper was completed inside a decade of obstructing elements.
- On 15 October 1499 French troops entered Milan. The ten-year, one-year and one-day currents were all obstructing; the one helping element that came was sealed by the day’s current.
- Even so, that year his mind turned to high intellect and to the past and the ancestors. At the year’s end he left Milan, and the next year returned to Florence.
- A destiny that holds unfinished possibility over completion. He kept the Mona Lisa with him all his life, still painting it. Light and shadow arriving at once stayed with him to the end.
