Hajime Isayama
Attack on Titan. A world ruled by titans, three towering walls, and the humanity that lives inside them. The story of Eren, Mikasa and Armin stepping beyond the walls overturned received common sense and ideas of right and wrong again and again, and drew in readers across the world. Born in the mountains of Hita in Oita, Hajime Isayama left his hometown to become a manga artist and, at twenty-three, began his serial in the launch issue of a new magazine. The series has sold more than a hundred million copies worldwide, and its television anime held the world's attention to the very end. On 9 September 2009, the day the serial began, protecting forces entered every layer of time: the decade, the year, the month and the day. Why did the door to the world open on this day?
